Crazy Hair Night

Last Thursday was Aiden's Awana club's crazy hair night. Jonathan was invited by buddy Rylan to join in the fun. I used this opportunity to give the kids a great spring buzz. And for the first time in their lives, the boys were actually excited about getting a haircut. Hmmm...maybe I should just call their haircut sessions "crazy hair night" from now on. ;)

Here are a few shots from the first haircut session, before Awana. Aiden was super excited because it is the reverse of cousin Jorden's awesome mohawk. He wanted me to leave it like that!

Nek-kid Spaghetti

It is a Smith family tradition to eat spaghetti sans clothes from the waist up....ummm....I mean only the kids!

We Heart Abeka!

No, not the homeschooling curriculum! Sweet Rebekah McElroy is the granddaughter of our piano teacher and she comes to visit Geneva during Aiden's lessons. We see them at the park most weeks and at church on Sunday and we just can't get enough of that sweet, spunky personality!

Geneva calls her Abeka, we think, because of her beloved Aunt Bec. I think she actually is trying to say Auntbeka. We heart Aunt Bec too!

On Friday the kids and I went back to a park we loved when living in Port Hueneme. There's a little stream to feed the ducks and a pathway about 1/4 mile long that takes you to the beach. Just being outside running around with my children felt so good.
